The Vortex drive of the ''[[Kairos]]'' reconstituted the Master as it passed through the patch of dark time and he began feeding on the life force of the crew to stabilise himself. In the upper class the Master took over the running of a hunting party and politely greeted Passion and Vienna when they caught up with him, as they'd been stripped of their weaposn so were unable to harm him.
