Hailed as the most intelligent inhabitant of the planet [[Quirk (planet)|Quirk]], Cedric took part in the contest show ''[[The Ultimate Challenge (game show)|The Ultimate Challenge]]'', with the [[Seventh Doctor]] as host, and [[Ace]] and [[K9 (Search Out Space)|K9]] as opponents. Throughout the game, Cedric proved reasonably clever, but on several occasions he made presumptions about the planet [[Earth]] (which he had never visited) which turned out to be flatly wrong. The library on [[Valcea]] stored archival footage of a [[black person|black]] boy in a "silver, figure-hugging spacesuit" who accompanied [[the Doctor (The Blue Angel)|a mustachioed incarnation of the Doctor]] and [[Iris Wildthyme]] in a fight with giant [[owl]]s.
