He colluded with [[Preston Gilchrist]] to sabotage the show, having Preston undermine the show's star [[medium]] [[Dennis Bridger]] during a live episode, and in return promising to eventually give Preston his own show. However, Clive had a change of heart following a live episode from [[Ratchett Abbey]] in [[2009]], during which a [[Gelth]] invasion was mistaken by the audience for a sighting [[Ghost|ghosts]], and ratings for ''Scared Stiff'' went through the roof.
