This is based on the assumption that ''[[The Daleks (TV story)|The Daleks]]'' takes place circa [[1963]], with the [[First Doctor]] having returned [[Ian Chesterton|Ian]] and [[Barbara Wright|Barbara]] to the correct [[time period]] after ''[[An Unearthly Child (TV story)|An Unearthly Child]]'', but not the [[Earth|correct place]]. References in ''The Daleks'' to the [[neutronic war]] having taken place more than [[500 (number)|500]] years prior therefore produces the approximate 1450 date. However, the [[Doctor Who universe|in-universe]] short story, ''[[Peaceful Thals Ambushed! (short story)|Peaceful Thals Ambushed!]]'', alternatively suggests the [[Thal-Dalek battle]] took place in [[2064]], logically relegating ''Genesis'' to the 1560s. Numerous editions of ''[[AHistory]]'' also suggest totally different dates.
