Morgus quickly deals with Stotz to kill all the remaining gunrunners, including Krepler, and then plot to secure Jek's private stash of spectrox so they may disappear quietly to another planet. The two make their way to Jek's base, lured by extractor fans that Jek is using to try to keep the base temperature cool for Peri. The noise causes them to track Jek down. Morgus orders Jek to give him the Spectrox. Jek refuses and then pulls the front of his mask off, showing Morgus his scalded face. A brief fight breaks out between the three men, and Jek, Morgus, and Stotz are killed - Jek and Stotz are both gunned down, and Morgus is pushed into Jek's extractor fans, causing them to short circuit and set on fire.
