There, he learnt from the king that she had been killed, and was offered a million [[Pound sterling|pounds]]. Insulted by John's disregard for [[human]] life, Rhys threatened to go to the press only to be shot dead by the king, who ordered that his body be disposed of in an [[incinerator]].
