::: It's very well known in the sci-fi fan community, though not too well known among the general public. Some in the entertainment industry are big fans of it, so they occasionally make references to it in their TV shows and movies. Online streaming services have been getting the license from BBC since about 13 years ago, one of them even got an exclusive contract several years ago. Publishers have been selling licensed Chinese novels for a decade. It seems they can make good profit from it. Considering people's interest in sci-fi got boosted by Liu Cixin's works like Three Body Problem and Wandering Earth in recent years, I think it gets more attention nowadays.
