I think this story takes place right after "Victory of the Daleks" because timeline-wise for the daleks they started building their army from WW2 and by 1963 they had taken over Earth. None of the episodes shown after this would have happened if they took place after the Daleks invaded if that makes sense. Plus, Amy's still wearing the same clothes from "Victory of the Daleks".
