Meanwhile, Carmodi finds Fitz and takes the Book of the Still from his. As Fitz follows Carmodi to a nearby wharf, he feels that he is missing something but is unable to put his finger on it. He also notices that Carmodi is paying a lot of attention towards the Book. Ignoring this (largely due to Carmodi rubbing her finger across his throat), Fitz joins his wife aboard a ship bought with Darlow's stolen credit chip. Before the ship can take off, it is found by Gimcrack (presumably shortly after punching the Doctor) who clambers on top of it and begins shooting into the cockpit. This shot activates the ship's shields - which toss Gimcrack off of the ship. He and Darlow (who have just arrived) watch as the ship leaves the atmosphere. While the ship is oribiting Lebenswelt, Fitz notices that Gimcrack's shot has damaged the ship's windscreen. Seeing their chances of defeating at least Darlow and Gimcrack are slim, Anji calls the cops and sends them to a nearby wharf. Anji then breaks in and (using the threat of imminent arrest) makes Darlow hand over the Doctor. In the confusion, the three criminals escape into the sewers while Anji and company reach the TARDIS just as the Unnoticed ship enters into Lebenswelt's atmosphere. | |||
