Heya and welcome on board!  We hope you make lots of contributions here.  Like the big, blue message thingy says above me, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any of the Administrators.
Just wanted to give some friendly advice about your first edit with us, cause it touches on two of the more important skills round these parts.
You wrote:
:She is/was a supporter of West Ham United (DW: Planet of the Ood).
First of all, thanks for putting that true fact in.  It's somewhat disgraceful the article didn't have that basic knowledge in already, so full marks on improving the accuracy of the wiki.
But let's take a moment to talk about style.  According our policy on perspective, all articles about people, places and things that are in-universe should use the past tense.  So not is/was; just was.
Also, you've done quite well to cite the story, but there's an easier way to do it.  Instead of using the url, you could have just linked through a wiki link.  So:
<pre>
DW: Planet of the Ood</pre>
Note that two single quotation marks (as opposed to one double quotation mark) will italicize text.
And if a specific thing is mentioned, but we don't have an article for it yet, it's okay to go ahead and make what's called a "red-link" to it — that is a link to an article not yet written.  Making a red-link contributes to a list of "wanted articles", which other users then consult when determining what to write about.
When you put it all together, the sentence would ideally be:
:She was a supporter of West Ham United. (DW: Planet of the Ood)
Again, thanks for giving us good info, and I hope you won't have taken offense at the stylistic pointers.
