As for the specific problems you're seeing, there's no such thing as a "random" problem on a computer. There's always a repeatable problem. To resolve this, you just have to be systematic about it. For instance, you say that {{tl|prettytable}} seems to be wrong on every page, but that "different" lines disappear on different pages. If you take screenshots of these various problems, we should be able to diagnose it. {{tl|prettytable}}, let's remember, is a ''very'' old template here, so I've never looked at it to any great degree.
