Red Christmas was a Doctor Who Adventures comic story featuring the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond.

Summary
Summary
The Eleventh Doctor (in a jingling festive hat), takes Amy Pond to Hollograd on Christmas Day in 1873, expecting it to be like a fairy-tale Christmas scene. The village is instead covered in a red mist - a psychic fog that separates the parents from their children. The psychic fog blocks the children (like Almos), from the minds of their parents until the Doctor uses his sonic screwdriver to clear away the fog with a bright light. In the light, those behind the fog are revealed as Krampus - creatures of folklore, who use the fog to create a fear and sadness (in this case from the feelings of losing a child at Christmas), on which they feed. The screwdriver doesn’t give light to keep the fog away and it creeps back until the Doctor returns to the TARDIS and switches on the roof light. The fog is dispersed, the parents are re-united with their children and the Krampus, unable to exist without sadness, fade away.

Notes
Notes
* The DWAM comic strip adventures were very much aimed at a younger audience and the artwork and colours were bold and bright, reflecting the tone of the magazine.
* The title of this story is the same title that Russell T Davies wanted to use for his third special of the 2008-10 Doctor Who specials, which eventually became The Waters of Mars after he dropped the idea of it being a christmas special. (REF: The Writer's Tale: The Final Chapter)
* Self contained one part stories were the norm.
