Despite his apparent demise, Lan was later repaired by the android Movellans and confronted [[Romana]] aboard their ship. He was assigned to guard the [[Nova device]] when it was set up to destroy Skaro but was ambushed by [[Tyssan]] and deactivated. His communicator was then used to bait [[Agella]], so that her power device could be stolen and she could be deactivated also.
