Create protecting a page prevents its creation. To create protect a page you first need to follow a red link for the page, if none exist just use the sandbox creating a link to the page you wish to create protect (you just need to preview the page and then follow the red link), alternatively you can use the [[Tardis:Community Portal]] link and type in the page you wish to create.
There are several ways you can create-protect a page, but the following is the easiest and most fool-proof:
 
#Copy the following text into your browser URL window:<pre>http://tardis.wikia.com/index.php?title=PAGENAME&action=protect&redlink=1</pre>
You will then immediately be taken to the edit box for that page.
#Replace "PAGENAME" with the name of the page to be protected. You do not have use underscores for spaces, or use any special characters for symbols. Just highlight the word "PAGENAME" and type over it with the plain text title.

4. In the button's menu there will be a "Protect" clickable link. Click this and it will take you to the standard protection page. '''Note''': If the page has already been create protected you'll be presented with an "Unprotect" link instead.
