: It's a trait that was shared by the Second Doctor, who Smith seems to be mirroring in both appearance and mannerisms and who the writers are referencing in plots ([[The Beast Below]]/[[The Macra Terror]] , [[Power of the Daleks]]/[[Victory of the Daleks]], [[The Time of Angels]], [[Flesh and Stone]]/[[Tomb of the Cybermen]] ).
