In [[When Time Froze|Confidential 6x13]] , Alex Kingston did not explain the gap between her first regeneration in New York and her first encounter with younger parents. It is unclear what happened with Melody after 1969. However, in [[Let's Kill Hitler]], Mels, before regenerating into River, tells Rory, Amy and Doctor that her past regeneration is in New York. However, due to the ages of Rory and Amy, it is unlikely posible that the regeneration in 1969 is the one that Mels tells them because Rory and Amy are born in 1989. Many fans have two distint arguments as:
1.) If 1969 is the regeneration that Melody talks about, she might be brough to 1990s through a time travel in order to grow up with Amy and Rory as young Mels .
2.) If she has another regeneration after 1969, she might have it again in 1990s. however, it is also unclear how she travels from New York, USA to Leadworth, UK to be with Amy and Rory.
