While parked in the Empty Nebula, the TARDIS was attacked by large green tentacled creatures and the Tenth Doctor was rendered unconscious. Heather McCrimmon left the TARDIS and attempted to negotiate with the creatures, but they thought she was a spy and they tried to eat her. The Doctor woke up in the nick of time and used the TARDIS' dimensional control to rescue Heather and prevent the creatures from attacking the Empire of Whap. (COMIC: The Secret Army)
