Stan Harris

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Private Stan Harris was a British Army soldier during the Second World War.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In 1944, Harris landed in France with a 400-strong British battalion on D-Day Plus 21. The battalion saw little action as much of France had already been liberated by British and American forces before their arrival. Harris and the battalion were ordered forwards to join the front lines, on their way to take Berlin.

While venturing through France, Harris believed Corporal Walter Curtis was simply seeing things when he claimed to have spotted strange lights in the sky. In actuality, this was the work of the Furio.

On 5 July, the battalion captured two Nazi POWs, Klaus and Jorgen, in a forest near Rouen after the Furio burned it down. In the village of Vestille, Harris and Curtis met the Sixth Doctor. On 6 July, Harris rejoined the battalion as they left the village. The Furio eventually tried to follow them to Germany. Harris and his fellow soldiers fought back until the Doctor and Lucien intervened to send the Furio to Skaro. When Harris and Curtis met up with them again, they realised they had once again missed the fight. (AUDIO: Scorched Earth)
