Doctor Stephen Pike was Monica Lamprey's adoptive grandfather in the 20th century. She used him to further her plans to access the Time Vortex and feed on the chronon energy of many parallel universes. When he was no longer useful, Monica killed him. (PROSE: Spiral Scratch)
