Steve Dillard

Steve Dillard was the father of Danny Dillard, and lived with him on the Fenmere estate in Cardiff. After his wife left, Steve became a violent alcoholic and would regularly beat his son.

On one occasion Steve beat up Danny for breaking a mug, one of only two that the family owned.

In 2008 Danny used a Rehabilitator on his father, believing the device to be a kaleidoscope. The device transformed Steve into Danny's idealised version of what his father should be. Danny became addicted to the Rehabilitator, and after one whole night of continuous usage the positive changes to his father's physical appearance and temperament became permanent.

Torchwood Three took the device from Danny, and gave Retcon to Steve and his son so they wouldn't remember what had happened. Eleven days later Danny stole £50 from his father and went missing. Steve asked Gwen Cooper if she had seen him, but she had not. (PROSE: Kaleidoscope)
