The Supreme Pontiff of Time, also known as the Time Pope, was a religious position among the Time Lords. It was a rank held by the leader of the clergy on Gallifrey. In an alternate timeline where Gallifrey was destroyed and the Doctor was exiled to Earth, the Time Pope was decapitated during a revolution on Gallifrey which also saw several Cardinals executed.
