The Sword of Never was a Time Lord weapon used in trials to execute the accused. The Sword was capable of obliterating living beings and could render all twelve of Time Lord regenerations useless. When in use, the Sword of Never would be levitated above the accused.
The Fourth Doctor was once threatened with the Sword during a trial after his defeat of Scratchman. (PROSE: Scratchman)
