Tacanda was a Thal, who left his plateau with other Thals in search of food.
Tacanda went with Temmosus and other Thals to the Dalek City, believing the Daleks would give them food. Instead, the Daleks had set an ambush for the Thals, and Tacanda was among those killed alongside Temmosus. Ganatus told Antodus of Tacanda's death after the surviving Thal scouts returned to their camp.
