Talk:A Big Hand for the Doctor (short story)
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Timeline[[edit source]]
Where can we place this adventure in the First Doctor's timeline? I still haven't read it yet, as I haven't been able to find it anywhere in Canada (I know it's an ebook; it's only available on iTunes UK), so I can't help much in this matter. The Doctor's still with Susan and there's no traces of any companion, as far as I'm aware. So is this before An Unearthly Child? Everyone who's read it, please post your thoughts. We need to know where to add this adventure on the Doctor's page and Susan's page. Thanks. SmallerOnTheOutside ☎ 03:40, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- It takes place after the Doctor get's his costume and before the Doctor arrives in 1963. The Doctor and Susan are used to travelling and have made it a quest to stop the Soul Pirates, plaing it after any point where the Doctor and Susan have just started out. That's before Quinnis (audio story) and All-Consuming Fire (novel) and after Frayed (novel). OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 04:01, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, cool cool cool. Thanks. I'd add it to his page but I still haven't read the book. I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!!!!!!! Sorry. Anyways, so the Doctor has a fake hand all the way until he regenerates and he never told me? But I trusted him! :'-( SmallerOnTheOutside ☎ 04:17, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- "You never asked, my dear child. Hmm? Hm-hm."
- I had the same problem as you, I'm an American and it's only on the UK store. Jokes on them, now I'm gonna be the only one to read "Prisoners of Time"!
- Make an Amazon.com account and buy it there, that's where I got mine. It's easier than you would think to make an Amazon account and they give away Ebook versions on a special site. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 04:27, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you, I will heed your advice. :-D Is it just me, or are most of our active members (aka. the ones that edit a lot, all the time) American? SmallerOnTheOutside ☎ 04:36, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know about that, but it may be true. There is a large fanbase in America for Doctor Who, particularly recently... Although I have been a Doctor Who fan my whole life, basically. My first Doctor was Paul McGann. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 04:42, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- I was born in the wilderness years of Who and was too young when the TV movie came out. I only started watching in 2006 with David Tennant. My Doctor. Anyways, I think I'm going to stop this conversation since I'm starting to get the feeling that we're vandalising this page. We're straying a bit too far from the topic at hand. Too bad the TARDIS rules can be so strict at times. Oh well. SmallerOnTheOutside ☎ 04:49, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was getting the same feeling... Meet me on chat? OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 04:54, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Sure thing. (I had trouble counting the colons there.) SmallerOnTheOutside ☎ 04:59, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
