Talk:A Worthy Successor (short story)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Liz Shaw[[edit source]]

I noticed Liz Shaw was recently removed from the characters list. She's unnamed but it's obviously her. There's references to her "old friends at Geneva", she mentions, "Doctor Smith" and Giles talks about how the place won't be the same without the Haggards around. I just wanted to know what the policy on unauthorized appearances like this were. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bio Planet WoO (talk • contribs) .

What is she referred to as in the text? Najawin 18:14, September 24, 2020 (UTC)

Just to answer your question, she's referred to as "interviewer." Bio Planet WoO 20:31, September 24, 2020 (UTC)

Aah, I see. If that's the case, I think the policy here is the one which was recently re-summarised at Thread:279761#94. If stories with the license to both establish that "Patsy's wife" = "Liz", we can pipe-link to Liz Shaw, but in the characters list she should be listed as "Dr Haggard", not as "Liz Shaw".
("Doctor Smith" is trickier — Liz/Dr Haggard might have known more than one Dr Smith in her life. I'm not sure we can pipe-switch him to Third Doctor based on in-universe evidence, contra what you're implying.) --Scrooge MacDuck 18:16, September 24, 2020 (UTC)
