Talk:Animated missing episode

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Animated stories[[edit source]]

An animated episode is not just "a missing episode of Doctor Who that has been "completed" by use of animation.". It is an story completed by the use of animation techniques. I think the stories Scream of the Shalka (webcast), The Infinite Quest (TV story) and Dreamland (TV story) should be added here as well. They are animated episodes after all. Rename / rework[[edit source]]

This page doesn't exactly follow current naming conventions. It should either be formatted as a list (e.g. List of animated stories) or a series page (something like Animated lost Doctor Who stories). Currently it's using a simple piece of nomenclature to denote a series page, and so the role of this page isn't clear from the title itself. Danochy 22:42, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

Agreed. When it was created some years ago now, it was the easiest and simplest, and it was inspired by "Missing episode", but now it has grown to much more than it was originally. I agree with your first proposal. The second proposal is good, but doesn’t work if we want to do what User:Wesley701 suggested above and make it a page for all animations rather than just "the missing but animated" ones. So, as I mentioned in the edit summary, I've moved the above conversation to this location here from the fandom page. The recent page name move solves the ambiguity of the page name, and now it's more closely following the convention set by Missing episode, as Danniesen says above. These two pages could perhaps do with a review, in terms of exactly how we treat them, but I think I'm satisfied for now. Danochy 23:25, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
