Talk:Arthur's world

Canon?[[edit source]]

I'm not certain that the various prose stories ought to be counted as canon in all cases. A lot of continuity just doesn't work with established fact, as it has been televised. Maybe using a different font, or noting that the information is only tentatively acceptable? I think that the information, as presented in the televised stories, ought to be kept as it is, regardless of what the prose additions might claim is the correct history. Considering that the new series challenges much of the timeline for the novels, especially regarding UNIT's history, I am dubious about including Peter David's story as being canon about Arthur's World and having it supersede the information given in the show.

For good reason, this wiki doesn't declare things as canon or not. For the full stance, see Tardis:Canon policy. P&P talk contribs 20:53, August 20, 2015 (UTC)
Also, it might help if you read Tardis:Neutral point of view and Tardis:Valid sources. For the most part, we consider all licensed works — television stories, novels and short stories, comic stories, audio stories — to be valid sources for in-universe articles.
As for continuity, even if you just look at the TV stories, they often don't work with each other. We don't use continuity or contradictions to rule out stories. Shambala108 02:44, August 21, 2015 (UTC)
