Talk:Cass Fermazzi
Species[[edit source]]
Why is Cass listed as Human? Humans weren't aware of the Last Great Time War or thought it was a legend. (according to series 1, 2005). Many species in the whoniverse look like humans but aren't.– The preceding unsigned comment was added by 41.42.162.248 (talk).
- That is actually a good point. Nowhere is it stated that she's human. Switching it to humanoid now, to reduce speculation.

Big Finish Cass split[[edit source]]
At this point, with the Big Finish Cass being a recurring character across 8 hours of stories, I think a split to Cass Fermazzi (Meanwhile, Elsewhere) makes sense. AUDIO: The Road Untravelled [+]Loading...["The Road Untravelled (audio story)"] features a scenario where time is rewritten so that a new "current timeline" version of Cass exists, but the companion Cass continues to exist as a distinct person who denies that she is this new Cass. Later, AUDIO: Borrow or Rob [+]Loading...["Borrow or Rob (audio story)"] describes Big Finish Cass as being unique in the same way that Alex Campbell (Restoration of the Daleks) is unique from Alex Campbell. Unless/until we have a source indicating that this Cass has continuity of mind with the Night Cass, the storytelling indicates that the Big Finish Cass is effectively a different person from the Night Cass. VOR 187 has Tim Foley refer to her as "this version of Cass", so at the moment both in-universe and OOU material suggests that she is a different person to the version seen in Night. She’s pretty obviously going to eventually become the version of Cass from Night of the Doctor. She denies being the alternate Cass because her memory was shielded from her history being changed by Friend due to her being a TARDIS traveller. She hasn’t lived through her new history, but to the rest of the universe that is her past. There isn’t two Cass's. Amy Pond isn’t a new character after The Big Bang.
