Talk:Chagaska

Non-existent[[edit source]]

I was wondering how we should approach an article like this, especially in terms of categories and such. I mean, per the episode this is not a living creature that has ever existed, does not exist and will never exist. Even the TARDIS can't see anything when the Doctor attempts to scan the fur because it, practically, IS NOT there. The creature is a figment of imagination/nightmares that has been transferred into reality. --DCLM 07:33, February 17, 2020 (UTC)

What about Category:Dream content. Also, wasn't there just a single creature, so maybe Category:Non-existent individuals? Danochy 07:43, February 17, 2020 (UTC)
The page still needs renaming. --DCLM 09:44, February 22, 2020 (UTC)
Please don't nag the admins. Moving pages isn't that easy a task, and we all have other projects/tasks on the wiki as well as real lives that need our attention thanks. Shambala108 14:16, February 22, 2020 (UTC)
Now it's a laugh. It shouldn't take this long to move a page. It actually is quite easy to do. It really is. I myself am admining some at least 1 Wikia, so I do well know this. And it's not unfair to nag if nothing ever gets done about it. --DCLM 13:36, March 4, 2020 (UTC)
Actually I am busy with my job in real life and have to deal with a complaining user's complaints as well as have a discussion with another user about his behavior. And most importantly, I don't know what this thing is so I have no idea if the rename is correct. And lastly, go to the category listing pages that need to be renamed. There are hundreds, most older than this one, so why do you think this one takes priority? It's not even a month yet, and there's actually no discussion given for the rename. The rename reason is just straightforward naming policy stuff—the page is at the plural form instead of the singular, Chagaska, which is used in the episode by the Doctor at ~36 minutes and Tahira at ~39 minutes if you want to verify. Spelling can also be seen here on the official BBC website (plural form—click "Show more" to see the full episode summary) and also here on the official BBC America Doctor Who Twitter account (singular). Just checked and only one page linked to the current name instead of the proper singular form, which I just changed so should be good to go now. Toqgers 01:35, March 5, 2020 (UTC)
Done. Thank you for providing the explanation and changing the links. Shambala108 01:39, March 5, 2020 (UTC)
Thanks Toqqers. I didn't know where to find those links. To Shambala108, let me first be clear about two things. First, I am in no way trying to be annoying. Second, I will never deny that private life takes first priority. And I will say it's not directed at you. In no way will I say that it was you who had to do it. However, given that there is a great handful of admins around on this Wikia and I have plenty of times seen them do work that could honestly also wait, I will not say it's unfair to request that somebody spare a little time to deal with this, especially since only admins are allowed to do the renamings and other pages, indeed some of them newer than this one, have been given huge priority to be renamed. That's all. --DCLM 06:35, March 5, 2020 (UTC)
Not to get off topic, but we don't have a "great handful" of admins. If you look at the list of active admins at Tardis:Administrators, three of those rarely post and two have stopped posting here. So it's not as much as it looks like. Shambala108 14:11, March 5, 2020 (UTC)

Not at all off-topic. Okay, well. Is there a need for more admins on the Wiki? --DCLM 14:46, March 5, 2020 (UTC)
