Talk:Cheetah virus
Was it really a virus? I thought it was just the spirit of the planet itself, mentally imposing itself. I admit I haven't seen the episode in a while. -<Azes13 16:34, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
No, you're quite right, I'm wondering the same thing. I'm looking at the transcript, amd it never uses the word "Virus" once. I don't know whether it's from a novelisation or the Big Finish audios, or if it's just a fanon explanation / fan nickname, but I can't find anywhere that a "Cheetah Virus" has been discussed in televised Doctor Who, so exercise caution... 82.9.87.174talk to me 14:27, March 1, 2015 (UTC)
The word virus is not present in the novelisation. Everything on the planet is described as having "an extra dimension." First Frontier describes the planet's magnetosphere as having high levels of artron energy to metamorphose living matter. Maybe the information on this page should just be relocated to "artron energy"? Or keep the page, but update the information. Steed ☎ 04:05, November 4, 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, the virus just seems to be an affect of the planet only and not the Cheetahs, even though they're "part of the planet." Maybe this page should be combined with "Cheetah World." Somebody has to rewatch Survival to see if anyone actually refers to it as a virus, even in passing description. Steed ☎ 05:25, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
- The term is used numerous times within the novel Prime Time. Beyond this, I do not know. RogerAckroydLives ☎ 03:04, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
