October or November?[[edit source]]

I interpret "it's been a weird month" as saying that it's been a month since the weirdness began, not that it's still the month that the weirdness began. There's only so much time before the characters stop saying that its only been a few weeks since the prom. CoT ? 23:34, November 12, 2016 (UTC)

A month after IS only a few weeks since, though. But he probably means "four weeks" rather than it specifically being the same calendar month, yes. -- Tybort (talk page) 23:54, November 12, 2016 (UTC)
I thought of that interpretation, but then it seems a bit weird that they're only adding Frank Armitage's name to the board in mid-November (a month after prom), when towards the end of October. That aside, I initially took "it's been a weird month" to indicate it's still October. I may have been wrong, of course.

And also, if Armitage was replaced over three weeks later, why does Miss Quill say, "That was quick"?

On the other side of the argument, to completely contradict myself, Ram says, "I've been frightened non-stop for the last month." That statement does seem to indicate it's been around four weeks since prom.

All this considered, I would believe, as "The Coach" last takes place on the 27th, that "Nightvisiting" takes place in the night between that date and the 28th, with "Co-Owner" and "Brave" taking place on the 28th. --DCLM 00:13, November 13, 2016 (UTC)

That works if you ignore the tie-in novels, but all of them are set before Ames replaces Armitage with What She Does Next referring to Armitage as "the Headmaster of Coal Hill School". CoT ? 00:18, November 13, 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, it seems that this must take place in November. It seems at first a bit odd that they added Armitage's name so late, but I think makes sense, as they must have waited some amount of time once he was missing to really confirm he was gone. And Miss Quill's "that was quick" may just be a reference to the fact that he was replaced already by the time his name was added to the board. And as for Nightvisiting, that one takes place on any night between the 27th and the end of the month.

In Brave-ish Heart, both Ram and April agree they've known each other for a month. These two stories definitely take place mid-November.
