Talk:Conversion (BFM audio story)
Suggested rename[[edit source]]
I think that it is worth mentioning that the BFA disambig used for Absolution is a remnant of the pre-2012 system of having a different prefix for each audio / prose / comic series with BFA being the one used for the main range. In my opinion, BFA is a little vague as this could theoretically encompass all Big Finish audios whether they are part of the main range or not. For that reason, I think that "Conversion (MR audio story)" is a better title as it is more specific and that Absolution should be renamed to be consistent with this article, newly created though it is, rather than the other way around. - I thought that BFA stood for "Big Finish audio" and if so, as you say, this implies a coverage of all Big Finish audios. The difference between Absolution and Conversion is that the other Conversion is also a Big Finish story whereas the other Absolution is a product of BBV. Therefore, in the case of Absolution I think it makes more sense to keep it as BFA or perhaps simplify to BF but I concur that a rename is not necessary in the case of Conversion. --Borisashton ☎ 18:16, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
- I placed a rename instead of a speedy rename because this does merit discussion — but however we move forward, we have to be consistent. Big Finish has not been consistent about naming this range. Current branding is "The Monthly Adventures". I think the least controversial (and most historically neutral... not to mention future-proof) option might be BFM audio story, for Big Finish monthly, as MA is already taken by Missing Adventures.
