Ascension of the Cybermen[[edit source]]

Based on the information on the page these Cyberdrones are completely different from the ones seen in Ascension of the Cybermen. So as I see it, either another "Cyber Drone" page needs to be created or this article needs a re-write. --DCLM 22:58, February 23, 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, they are for sure different from the ones in Enemy Mine (and perhaps even the reference from Code Silver (audio story) warrants a different page); when I added the link to Ascension, I didn't realize this article existed. However, I just went through Enemy Mine, and couldn't find Cyberdrone anywhere. Closest we get is upgraded human drones and drone/the drone, which isn't quite the same, so either:
1) The name comes from another story
2) Naming this "Cyberdrone" was a mistake and this needs to be renamed.
Personally, I'd lean towards it being the second case (or, to have more good faith) that this was a conjecture-type of thing. But given we have non-conjecture names for the page, we should probably rename this one. OncomingStorm12th (talk) 02:18, February 24, 2020 (UTC)
Actually, after checking Drones of Doom (comic story), it gives us Cyber-drone, so the page should be moved to that. But just to check where we stand on this issue: does the iPlayer subtitles spell the Ascension Cyberdrones with or without the hyphen?
And for full clarity, the Cyberdrones in the two stories are distinctive enough to have separate pages, in Drones of Doom, Cyber-drones are partially converted Cybermen, while the Ascension of the Cybermen creatures are flying Cybermen heads, arguably well-developed and equiped. I can't speak for the iPlayer subtitles, but according to the non-DWU spelling in the BTS video "Upgrading the Cybermen", they spell it as "The Cyber Drones". --DCLM 07:39, February 24, 2020 (UTC)
BBC iPlayer subtitles spell it as one word without the hyphen: Cyberdrones. 66 Seconds 10:51, February 24, 2020 (UTC)
Then I highly suggest to create a different page called "Cyberdrones", now that this specific page has been changed to "Cyber-drones" and the fact that the ones described on this article are clearly a different kind. I do not really see how these two versions are one and the same. --DCLM 10:57, February 24, 2020 (UTC)
