Anyone know if this is the same David Jackson who would have been producer of The Dark Dimension, had it actually been produced? CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 21:06, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
- David Jackson was a senior producer at the BBC at the time "Two of BBC Enterprises' senior producers, Penny Mills and David Jackson, persuaded Enterprises' senior manager, Tony Greenwood, to take on the project as a video-only release." from NZDWFC - TSV 44: Inside the Dark Dimension By Jon Preddle.
- It's at least feasible that he wrote Down to Earth after getting involved in The Dark Dimension project (or was a fan who persuaded Greenwood to take it on and then wrote a short story after). --Tangerineduel 11:46, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
- See, it was reading that article which made me believe that he was not the same David Jackson. After that article, I took him to be a high-placed exec at the BBC too busy to be writing, essntially, fan fiction. As I recall, that article implies in its later paragraphs that Penny Mills was active in the project longer than Jackson. It seemed to suggest that he sort of got the ball rolling, but was not going to be formally attached to the project as it went forward. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 23:09, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
