Talk:Definite article (pronoun)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Deletion[[edit source]]

I'm suggesting this... article... be deleted. I just cleaned up the page Article (grammar), and that or pronoun would cover all the relevant information. This page is messy and factually incorrect, as the definite article is not a pronoun, nor is using it to precede a title. Time Lords using titles like "the Doctor, the Master, etc. (or anyone else like the Vlinx) are not pronouns, they're... titles. And the Meep's claim that "my chosen pronoun is the definite article" is not correct— if this were the case, the Meep's pronoun would be the word "the". What the Meep really meant is "refer to me as 'the Meep', preceded by the definite article", which is why the Doctor replies "I do that." It's just poor wording on the Meep's part. An alternative could be that we remove the dab and reformat the article to be what it means to be the definite article of something. As this phrase has been used on multiple occassions in the past. Danniesen 10:57, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Before deleting, I'd like to know what the creator of the article intended. Right now it's a mix of in-universe and real-world. Some explanation would be helpful. Shambala108 15:26, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
