Name & Gender?[[edit source]]

Having just read the book, I think this page has made a mistake in saying 1. The character's name is Dinah and 2. The character is female. The name seems to have come from this passage:

The dinosaur swung its great scaly neck down to look at you. Twin ruby lasers scanned the plastic identity card the guard held out. 'Hurry up Dinah,' muttered the guard.

which to me clearly refers to the ID scanning dinosaur thing as Dinah, not the protagonist. I don't think the name Dinah is used again, in fact the protagonist is not referred to by any name and seems to be intended as a malleable self-insert. As for their gender, the page seems to assume from the name Dinah, but again the book goes out of its way to not mention their gender, to the point of K9 calling them Owner instead of Master or Mistress, and they are illustrated fairly androgynously to my eyes at least. The only reference I recall is:

Little brat's down for interrogation - grab his arms!

in section 22. Whether it matters or not I would say this is almost certainly a mistake on the author's part and the gender, like the name, was supposed to be ambiguous so the reader can imagine themself as the protagonist. I'd suggest the character's name should be changed to something like "Child (Search for the Doctor)" and instances of gender pronouns changed to either "he" or "they" depending on what people think about what the intent was and/or if that actually matters.
