Talk:Doctor Who The Official Annual 2010

Error?[[edit source]]

When I encountered it, the article had following language:

  • On page 17 there is a mistake:
    • In the Annual: "Having fled the destruction of the Dalek Empire in the year 200,100 in a Voidship..."
    • Correction: "Having fled the destruction of the Dalek Empire in the Time War in a Voidship..."

Because the editor has only quoted half a sentence, it's impossible to ascertain whether the editor has made a factual statement or offered his or her opinion. Is this "mistake" and "correction" something caught and changed by BBC Children's Books? That is, did the publisher issue an errata memo inside each copy of the book? If not, then I think what's being said is that the editor of this statement believes there was an error, and he or she has offered their own correction.

  • If the former, please add back into the article, and describe the conditions under which BBC Children's Books corrected their mistake.
  • If the latter, please do not add back into the article. In the same way that we have rigorously taken such discussions out of the various story pages, and placed them on the forum, this sort of speculative correction about the narrative has no place on a real world page.
