Talk:Doctor Who at the Proms - List of Music
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Deletion rationale[[edit source]]
By stripping the articles about the individual concerts of their lists of music, we're organizing our information in a counter-intuitive way. We'd never stand for an article entitled Doctor Who - List of Plots. So why are we gutting the prom articles of some of their most important information? No, this is how we should be handling this whole series:
- Doctor Who at the Proms is the overall background article about the series itself. It should answer questions like, "What is a 'Proms'?", "How did DW get involved in them?", "What's the general structure of a DW at the Proms event", etc.
- Doctor Who at the Proms (2008) and Doctor Who at the Proms (2010) are effectively episodes of the Doctor Who at the Proms series.
- They'll need a modified infobox, in which some of the variables should be: conductor, arranger, composer, presenter, soloists, date of live performance, date of premiere TV broadcast, channel of premiere TV broadcast, director of TV broadcast, producer of TV broadcast, date of premiere radio broadcast, channel of premiere radio broadcast, director of premiere radio broadcast, producer of premiere radio broadcast.
- Body of article should contain the list of music at that concert, information about "extras" that accompanied the music (such as dramatic sketches that formed a part of the concert, or documentaries broadcast in the intermissions on the radio), information about home video availability, broadcasts outside the UK, ratings/critical reception to the concerts, details about any notable video accompaniment.
- This "list of" article should be deleted with extreme prejudice.
