Talk:Dr. Who and the Daleks (theatrical film)
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Barbara Wright novel[[edit source]]
I removed this reference from the lead because 1. It was in-universe information inserted into real-world information; 2. It originated from a non-canonical, unlicenced work. 23skidoo 18:26, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
Uncredited performers[[edit source]]
Uncredited performers should not be returned to the article proper without citation of information source.

Title of Page[[edit source]]
The wiki recommends that we should change the name of the page to "Dr. Who and the Daleks (theatrical film). Should we do it? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lezof123 (talk • contribs) .
- Changing names is performed by admin, and is not based on popular vote. Please do not do anything. Amorkuz ☎ 06:42, May 3, 2018 (UTC)
- The template inviting discussion on a name change has been on the article since 24 December 2016. If there is no intention for there to be a discussion about it, or a name change, then the template should be removed. Similarly, if non-admin discussion is unwanted, the invitation for discussion should be removed from the template. ǝsʞpɐןǝ (talk page) 10:10, 14 June 2018
- There's been no discussion, so why would we remove it? And I think you were misinterpreting User:Amorkuz's answer to User:Lezof123; he was telling him not to move the page, as only admins are allowed to move pages and in addition no moves are performed during the discussion phase. Amorkuz was most definitely not discouraging non-admin discussion. Shambala108 ☎ 13:47, June 14, 2018 (UTC)
- I agree that we definitely should dab it properly, and as what it is — a film, not a TV story. Sooner or later we'll get more theatrical Who stories — perhaps even valid ones; the theatrical intro to The Day of the Doctor could well have been valid if it hadn't decided to rip the fourth wall into tiny tiny shreds) — and it's best to start applying proper naming procedures now and not have to worry about it later, methinks. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 19:27, January 21, 2019 (UTC)
- There was nothing said against this proposal in the more than two years it's been up, and the rename has become long-overdue in light of a third page with this title, namely that about the in-universe movie (as mentioned in The Day of the Doctor and so on).
