Talk:Dr Who and the House on Oldark Moor (short story)
Validity[[edit source]]
I wouldn't be one to start an inclusion debate before at least checking this. The page for Dr. Who (Dr. Who and the Daleks) states:
The short story Dr Who and the House on Oldark Moor asserts that Dr Who is from a universe parallel to the Doctor's.
What exactly is said to suggest this? It isn't even mentioned on the page itself. --Borisashton ☎ 14:04, May 14, 2017 (UTC)
- The anthology this story is in, Short Trips and Side Steps, has the theme of some of its stories being set in parallel universes. You know, like instead of moving forward or backwards through time, moving sideways. Early Big Finish also used the term. CoT ? 14:10, May 14, 2017 (UTC)
- So could this be enough to validate this story? --Borisashton ☎ 16:47, May 14, 2017 (UTC)
- I doubt it. For one, this debate has been had before. It was very poorly executed, to the point that no one even answered the question that you just asked (despite it being asked). But the main point against it (not stated in that thread) is that it's unclear which stories are "side steps." Several stories feature TV Comic versions of the Doctor, the Ultimate Adventure Sixth Doctor, etc. We've just counted those stories as regular adventures, not as "alternate realities." So it would be quite irregular to say "this is an alternate universe" but only for one of those "oddity" short stories inside.
- So could this be enough to validate this story? --Borisashton ☎ 16:47, May 14, 2017 (UTC)
- If a story ever featured a literal acknowledgement that Dr. Who's world is a parellel dimension, or even a crossover between the two worlds, then it could be more clearly contested that all stories featuring the character deserves to be valid. However, there is no such story in existence. So it will remain invalid for now. OS25 (Talk) 17:34, May 23, 2017 (UTC)
Stub Article[[edit source]]
Is this article a stub? I added the plot from http://www.drwhoguide.com/whotrip3.htm and edited it a little. Most of the subheads are full, and there is a plot, the infobox is informative, and everything else is put as it should be. I believe this article should no longer be marked as a stub. - Please note I removed your edit. We don't allow copying of material from other sites, as you can read at Tardis:Plagiarism. Therefore, the article is still a stub. Thanks, Shambala108 ☎ 23:02, August 17, 2018 (UTC)
