I saw there was some confusion of his birth date. A quick search of the UK birth certificate archives reveals that there was an Edward Brayshaw born in spring 1931, and one in summer 1933. Perhaps because he wasn't born in the UK? Info from the web suggests that he originally came from Australia or New Zealand. His earliest appearances were in Australia and Philip Madoc mentioned him "going back to New Zealand" in an interview.– The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2.26.67.184 (talk).
The National Library of New Zealand lists his birth date as 1933 and describes him as an Australian-born, New Zealand-raised actor who performed in British television series.– The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2.26.65.245 (talk).
Hi, Edward Brayshaw was born in Australia. He was my grandfather's cousin. It was well known in the family that cousin Teddy was an actor who had moved to the UK and had some success.
