Article needs refocussing[[edit source]]

Today, I've rolled back several edits made in July 2016 because they were either badly formatted, or just because they were highly speculative.

In truth, this article needs to focus on the person who emerged as the "First Doctor", not the youth of the gestalt being known as the Doctor. Taking all media into account, "the Doctor" is a name that this being chose once he left Gallifrey. Specifically, "the Doctor" arises only in the story, Frayed, though I suppose coverage of him stealing the TARDIS is necessary to set up Frayed.

But it's not his name from the moment he was born until he left Gallifrey, and this is certainly not the place to get into a massive tug of war about Lungbarrow.

Ideally, we should start another article called the Doctor's youth and use that as a place to explore, at greater lengths, the conflicting accounts of his birth and family life. This article, though, should be primarily centered on the timeframe from Frayed to The Tenth Planet.

Relocate adventures with John and Gillian to undated events[[edit source]]

I'm fairly positive that no story has indicated that the First Doctor's travels with J&G occur shortly after Daleks' Masterplan. It seems quite clear to me that this based purely on theory. Here's a place where the Doctor's alone, fill it with John and Gillian. J&G could easily have travelled with the Doctor at almost any other point where he's alone. I say let's put the entire section as a subsection of undated events. CoT ? 16:07, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

Well, The Witch Hunters explains that the Doctor began traveling alone after The Five Doctors due to knowing he'd regenerate soon and as favour to Rassilon (or something along those lines, I forget). Anyway, the TV Action comics, by all accounts, weren't every intended to fit into the TV continuity, so the fans really did just slip them in where they could. And they only times the First Doctor is seen traveling alone are in gaps presented in The Witch Hunters and The Rag & Bone Man's Story, so you can see the train of thought going into this.BananaClownMan 19:59, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
