When I encountered it, article had a lot of issues. There was a lot of information in the main text of the article which either didn't need to be there at all, or was worded so poorly its meaning was unclear, or wasn't backed up by any source.
I excised entirely most of the first paragraph, because this isn't the place for a definition of what Doctor Who Adventures is. That's what the wikilink is for. Plus, people are likely to find this article only because they've been reading a DWA issue article, so chances are they don't need a definition of what DWA is. Then came this stuff:
- In addition each issue came with an exclusive free gift, some issues were available with various sets available for collectors.
- Removed cause it makes no sense. Various sets of what? And are we saying here that there was a gift and various sets of something?
- The gifts were not always as advertised, being substituted at late notice for various reasons (see specific issues for further information).
- Removed because mentioning this fact, but not detailing the problem in this article makes it pointless. And, anyway, it's an anomaly best discussed at the issue level.
- The inclusion of these premiums is considered a reason as to why Doctor Who Adventures magazine is not distributed outside of the UK, even though its larger brother, Doctor Who Magazine, has occasionally been packaged with bonus items as well, yet retains North American distribution.
- Considered by whom? DWM doesn't have true North American distribution, as far as I know. It's something US merchandisers have to buy from British suppliers, I think. I could be wrong, but its exceptionally high subscription price on Amazon ($150/13 issues) indicates Amazon are acting as a middleman between you and a British distributor. In any case, the main thrust of the paragraph is unsupported by a source.
