Talk:George Maitland

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Surname[[edit source]]

The footnote says it comes from the name of their wi-fi network, but this could be considered original research. After all, what if they were renting the house, and Maitland is the name of the land lord? Or what if they inherited the place from their maternal grandparents, whose name would be different from theirs? Although the producers likely intended for Maitland to be their last name, this is still speculation. If no one objects, I think we should move this page. We're using the text of episodes and other stories as the main valid sources for writing articles on this wiki. Literally everything about this wiki is "original research". But either way, no. On top of the Wi-Fi thing, in The Name of the Doctor, the Eleventh Doctor describes George as Mr Maitland. -- Tybort (talk page) 23:12, February 17, 2015 (UTC)
