Talk:Leaf

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

this page is a problem[[edit source]]

This article is just all wrong. The photo is of the leaf in The Bells of Saint John, aka "the first page". It's NOT the most important leaf in the world, and it's not used by her parents. We have one leaf that is seen in one episode. We have a second leaf that is seen and used in one episode. We could rewrite this page as just leaf and have a section on each of these, but right now this page is both inappropriate and wildly inaccurate. Anoted 09:18, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

Assuming[[edit source]]

The leaves in Bells of Saint John and Rings of Akhaten are visually different. One is a maple leaf (ok, maybe we don't know for certain, but it's shaped like one) and one is a non-specific ovate leaf.

Maybe the leaf in Bells is supposed to be the same leaf as in Rings. A production error is fully and completely possible. But we don't KNOW that it's a production error. Maybe that will come in and play into another storyline later. This article is written so as to not make any assumptions. Maybe it's a production error and they are the same leaf, or maybe it's not, and will later play into the storyline in some way. Especially given this shows penchant for including small visual clues that get passed over at the time as production errors (the doctor's jacket in Flesh and Stone), we shouldn't come out and tell people that a visual difference doesn't matter. We shouldn't tell them either way. Maybe it matters and maybe it doesn't. We don't know and shouldn't ascribe motivation to it. Facts only exists once we see or hear them. We saw that they were different, but the dialogue makes it sound like they're the same. So we tell people that and let them draw whatever conclusion they want. Anoted 05:24, April 27, 2013 (UTC)
