Renaming and possible merging[[edit source]]

Why shouldn't it take precedence over The Destroyers, since it's the earliest use?

By the way, my humble opinion is that we should have a single page for Agent Seven from The Dalek Outer Space Book, Mark Seven from Terror Task Force and Mark Seven from The Destroyers, reporting the different accounts like in any other case there are conflicting ones. It's the same anti-Dalek android Terry Nation had in mind and used (or was going to, in the case of The Destroyers). HarveyWallbanger 08:33, August 24, 2015 (UTC)

I admit I haven't read the annual stories, but if they're intended to be the same character, then I agree with the merge proposal. Danochy 12:22, September 15, 2020 (UTC)
Yes, these pages should be merged into Mark Seven (and with some haste). I'm cobbling together a Sandbox as we speak. – N8 (/👁️) 14:51, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

See User:NateBumber/Sandbox5 for the proposed (still rather stubby) merger. – N8 (/👁️) 16:02, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

That looks great! I don't have much more to say about the situation, but we're in agreement that a quick-ish merger would definitely be beneficial. Danochy 00:03, September 16, 2020 (UTC)

Admin notice[[edit source]]

Right, so.

User:BananaClownMan has taken it upon himself to rewrite "Mark Seven" in line with User:NateBumber's sandbox. More precisely, he copypasted Nate's work onto the page with little to no edits.

The good news is, performing this merge follows the consensus, and we will come through with it on the admin end of things, merging Agent Seven and [[Mark Seven (The Destroyers)]] into this namespace.

The bad news is, BCM taking this upon himself before consensus was officially declared is a breach of T:BOUND, and doing so by plagiarisng Nate's sandbox with no attribution is a(n admittedly fairly harmless, but still very real) infringement of T:THEFT, which is an even more serious policy than T:BOUND, if there is such a thing.

We are currently trying to figure out a way, on the code level, to restore the history of Nate's sandbox to this page, to repair the damage. At any rate, let it be known that even if his erroneous edits were actually in the right direction as far as our coverage of Mark goes, BCM's actions are not okay and will result in bans. Do not try this at work. --Scrooge MacDuck 17:39, October 2, 2020 (UTC)

That sandbox page has a ridiculously gross history, for what it's worth, so you don't have to worry about merging it; this talk page note and my edit summary is more than enough attribution. – N8 (/👁️) 19:25, October 2, 2020 (UTC)
