The World That Waits consistently uses the Mechanoid spelling, and importantly on the page of the story that resides as no. 79 in the whole book overall - the following is denoted in story textbox: "Vast energy is smashed into the vital "leg" of the Mechanoid City." The Chase has always been a complicated one because one set of story credits denote as Mechonoid and one set of story credits denote as Mechanoid. (If it's worth anything, Steven refers to them solely as Mechanoids.) And now, Planet of the Mechanoids runs entirely with the Mechanoid spelling throughout.
I would think it of considerable note that two of the stories to feature it went in favour of the Mechanoid spelling, and the one time in which it has been directly referred by anything, it has been as "the Mechanoid City." JDPManjoume ☎ 19:11, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, quite right. This page had no business being called "Mechonoid City" even if we used "Mechonoid" for the species page. But since that's no longer the case either, this move becomes a no-brainer two times over. Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 22:06, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
