Ah. This... may be a problem. Because, in the behind the scene interviews for the recent Torchwood audio Palin starred in, Scott Handcock explicitly asks him exactly this- if he’s ever been asked to play Doctor Who, and Palin flatly denies it. I know about the ‘according to one account’ thing we do when two DWU sources contradict each other, but what do we do about contradictions within real words sources. I’d on one hand say that if anyone should know what happened to Palin, it’d be Palin, and that’s hardly the kind of thing anyone is likely to forget but on the other hand the interview was rather candid, so it could have been just a temporary lapse in memory, at least so long as we assume he didn’t need to think about it before denying to part so it wouldn’t have entered a significant part of his mind. Not sure though, I kinda feel that being asked directly might just jog the noggin. What should we do about this?
