- Alas, not enough information (at least to my memory). The story is set in 21st century, so in principle could by the 2080s or 2001 for all we know. We can estimate Gabby's age any way we want. But it is possible, IMHO, that her grandfather lived his whole life in the 21st century. It is equally possible that he died in the 20th century. Amorkuz ☎ 22:55, January 1, 2017 (UTC)
- A bit harsh (unknown era), but ultimately correct. Then the same applies to the mother and to Juan, right? Amorkuz ☎ 23:05, January 1, 2017 (UTC)
- If it applies here, I'd assume it would apply there. Is it incorrect to say someone's from an "unknown era" when you just don't know if it's one century or the next? The category page offers no explanation.
× SOTO (☎/✍/↯) 23:09, January 1, 2017 (UTC)- Well, if we had a category Category:Individuals from the 3rd millennium, then it would have definitely been incorrect. For now, I don't know. I guess, one needs to study the precedents. I myself always understood an unknown era as really unknown even approximately, based on the use of "era". But I didn't create the category, so I don't know. I am hesitant myself to put this category there. I'll let you decide. Amorkuz ☎ 23:13, January 1, 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, the word "era" to me does not make it "Humans from an unknown century". We know what "era" Gabby's grandparents belonged to. Perhaps the category should be more firmly established, or, as you say, we should have broader categories as well. But of course, the 20th century did not belong to the 3rd millennium. If only we had a more precise dating for Gabby's life, we could say for certain whether or not her grandparents lived in the 20th century.
