Talk:Miss Brown

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Deletion and name[[edit source]]

Right now there is a deletion tag based on the ongoing discussion at Talk:Dust Devil (audio story), however that discussion does not concern the character this page is about. Miss Brown originates from the Warrior's universe and, while seemingly a counterpart, is not related to Peri Brown. The discussion on the other talk page is concerned with the "mainline" aberrant version of Peri seen in Dust Devil who is a separate individual. So the deletion tag does not apply to this page.

Also, when asked about the name Peri/Perpugilliam, Miss Brown is not only unfamiliar with the name but very emphatically states that her name is Miss Brown. This leads me to think Tardis:Honourifics does not apply since she is using Miss Brown as a title, so I think the page should just be located at Miss Brown. Re: the deletion tag: makes sense. Looks like a straightforward case of mistaken identity; removing it.
I'm inclined to agree that Miss Brown would be the best page name for this character, but as that's slightly more unorthodox and up for debate, I'm going to wait to see what other people think before we implement that one.
…Also, hang on. A character who's not Peri, known simply as "Miss Brown", you say? Not sure if there's a direct connection but surely it's intended as a reference. The Stranger (series) and the BTS of this page should definitely look into this. Scrooge MacDuck 22:48, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

Anything other than Miss Brown is the wrong move in my opinoon. I recognize I wrote that word wrong, but I'm choosing to keep it. OS25🤙☎️ 20:40, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

Looks to be clear consensus. It may be unorthodox, but Bryant's character self-identifying as "Miss Brown", with seemingly no first name for this counterpart, along with the general mystery around this character, certainly justifies this unusual case. Since it's unanimous, moving to Miss Brown now.
